TEFABLOC™ TG - TPE with Renewable Carbon

TEFABLOC™ TG - TPE with Renewable Carbon

Thermoplastic Elastomer including: Bio-based materials and PIR (Post Industrial Recycling) / PCR (Post Consumer Recycling).

INCORPORATING RENEWABLE CARBON

The TEFABLOC ™ TG series are thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), partly made from biobased or recycled materials. Both origins are preserving the natural resources, and helping decouple from the sole use of fossil ressources. By using the carbon sources present in our next environment (bio-mass or recycling  streams), the raw materials used intend to make the TEFABLOC™ TG series closer to carbon neutrality, as TPEs contibuting to limit the green house gas (GHG) emissions.

Designed in the spirit of the KAITEKI (1) concept, they are an alternative to conventional TPEs, without compromising on performances.

 (1) KAITEKI is an original concept of the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation Group, that proposes a way forward in the sustainable development of society and the planet, in addition to serving as a guide for solving environmental and social issues (to learn more about KAITEKI).

1. HIGH RECYCLING CONTENT

TEFABLOC™ TGSI R02/R03 offer respectively up to 67% and 52% of PIR (Post Industrial Recycling) and PCR (Post Consumer Recycling).

These SEBS grades are available in a broad hardness range, with high flow rate and cohesive bonding to polyolefin. The low emission level (low smell) and the compliance with European regulations about human skin contact make them particularly interesting for in home and consumer applications, such like bodycare, tools, furnitures etc..

2. BIO-SOURCED CONTENT

TEFABLOC™ TGSI A06 75A is a thermoplastic elastomer partly made of bio-sourced materials.

It offers a appreciable level properties, with smooth aspect and easy coloring, including with bright colours.

High flow rate and cohesive bonding to polyolefins (PE & PP) make it recommended for long run channels.
TGSI A06 75A is also complying with European regulations about human skin contact.
