Side Glass and Sunroof Panel Encapsulation

DESIGN & TECHNOLOGIES

Injecting thermoplastic material on glass is a delicate operation which requires minimal mechanical stress on the glass to reduce risk of glass breakage.

As a result, material design must take into consideration characteristics that result in low injection pressure and excellent heat stability to support the potential of higher handling time during processing.

Regardless on the your preference of using either PVC or TPE, we have your solution.

TEFABLOC™

  • The thermoplastic alternative to EPDM solutions with varying degrees of appearance from matte to high gloss that matches the overall glazing sealing system.
  • High flow products that virtually eliminate flow marks and knit lines
  • Excellent long-term ageing

SUNPRENE™

  • High-performance PVC compound
  • High flow products that require lower injection pressure than the competition resulting in less scrap and better appearance
  • Excellent scratch resistance.
  • Available in a low gloss (matching the GRC) or standard gloss appearance

Both materials offer excellent long-term ageing and strong heat process stability and a high level of fluidity to provide unparalleled reproduction of the tool surface.

DURABILITY

With excellent weathering resistance, the part appearance is preserved overall the life of the vehicle.
