TREXPRENE™ Extrusion

TREXPRENE™ Extrusion

Vulcanized PP/EPDM based Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPV) - Standard series for extrusion processing

TREXPRENE™ FOR EXTRUSION

TREXPRENE IS EXCELLENT FOR EXTRUSION APPLICATIONS DUE TO THE HIGH MELT STRENGTH, TEAR RESISTANCE, DIMENSIONAL STABILITY AND THERMAL PROPERTIES.

MCPP’s TREXPRENE series of Vulcanized PP/EPDM based Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) are Heat and UV stabilized, in hardness levels from 45 Shore A to 50 Shore D.

TREXPRENE  is extruded into a wide variety of profiles used in many applications, such as window and door seals, roof moldings, under-hood seals, and many other automotive and consumer goods.

Coextruding TREXPRENEwith other olefin based materials is a best practice because they have similar physical properties and bond very well to each other.

Please review some of the typical automotive applications that are available for extrusion below. For other processes, including blow molding and injection molding, please visit our TREXPRENE™   page or contact  our global TREXPRENE team  to discuss your application needs.
